In the end we went with Pebble Tec for looks. I have been in my pool a few times, it it doesn't bother me at all. Next, we had to pick color. We went back and forth between different colors. It's dark enough to capture a little bit of heat but light enough to see the bottom clearly, and it has a really beautiful shimmer when the sun is on it.
